Montgomery County Department of Housing & Community Development PROGRAMS
 
HOUSING, ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
 
The Department of Housing & Community Development  issues a combined application for federal funding available under the  Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and the  Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG). 2008 applications are available below!
 
A separate combined application is available for funding under the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF).  2008 applications are available below!
 
Annual application for funding under the Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Program is issued through a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Department of Housing & Community Development is the leading agency that coordinates the submission of the application for Montgomery County.  Contact the Department for details or look for announcement in "News & Current Events".

OWNER-OCCUPIED REHABILITATION
 
The Department of Housing & Community Development administers an income restricted rehabilitation program for residents of Montgomery County. The Department is working on its current waiting list and is not accepting applications at this time.
 
 
 
TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TBRA)
 
The Department of Housing & Community Development assists Montgomery County residents who are victims of disaster or displaced by emergency circumstances with rental assistance. These applicants must meet the 60% or below income guidelines. The assistance can be provided for a maximum of 2 years and will be determined based on priority and funding availability. Recipients of the Housing Choice Voucher Program are not eligible for this assistance however, persons/families on the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list may qualify.

Montgomery County Employer Assisted Housing Program
Montgomery County employees only.  Downpayment, closing and rehabilitation costs are available to eligible full-time Montgomery County employees to purchase homes within the Boroughs of Norristown or Pottstown.

American Dream DownPayment Initiative (ADDI) Program
